A person wearing pink with long silver hair sits in a field looking at the night's sky. Underneath are the words, "gender is so much bigger than me."
I came out as non-binary 7 years ago during a period of great personal growth and turmoil. At that time my ex was very unhappy with this development and shortly after when we broke up it was a great hindrance to dating. I never think about my own gender much anymore so it’s hard to connect to what this means. I found something I’d written about this in a message to a friend, “Gender is a social phenomena that includes many factors, not all explained. Sometimes how people see my gender is out of my control, which is a negative experience but other times it’s something open to change. This has become positive for me as being trans has enriched my life in so many ways and made me more open minded/questioning.” Pretentious much?
All of this old art was drawn, scanned, coloured with a graphics tablet so old it had no sensitivity and edited with an outdated version of photoshop.

Gender Euphoria

A comic depicting a person with orange hair pushing their hands together to describe how capitalism & patriarchy are intertwined.
This is probably my favorite comic from this period but it received very little engagement on my old Tumblr (ew Tumblr, remember that?). I started out as a feminist, read a bunch of stuff by black feminists/womanists, realised that we can never have equality under capitalism and wound up an anarcho-communist as you do.

Anarchism?

Image description: A black & white drawing of David Cameron with the words "Your tory bullshit makes us sick" written in a banner

My first post! I think I drew this 5 or 6 years ago before I developed a second chronic illness that prevented me from drawing. I was having a time of it with the Tories cutting public services and vilifying disabled people. I noticed a distinct change around the time they changed the benefit system and the justification they used for it in how people treated me. Suddenly there was a new found hatred and suspicion of disabled people. As cuts become more entrenched a wave of ODs, friends being sectioned, friends developing housing problems, multiple pals being diagnosed with chronic mental illnesses and friends falling off the wagon occurred. When I drew this I didn’t yet know this would happen.

Oh yeah, I still think Cameron is a cunt.
